Centrado num tema banal, mas bastante actual, o do Lazer Cicl\u00e1vel, o projeto assumiu objectivos integrados, de Ordenamento do Territ\u00f3rio, de Dinamiza\u00e7\u00e3o Social e de Desenvolvimento Econ\u00f3mico. A ambi\u00e7\u00e3o experimental do projeto n\u00e3o incidiu tanto em cada uma das iniciativas que integra, mas na demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o de como uma atitude de planeamento do territ\u00f3rio, centrada numa qualquer potencialidade de uma \u00e1rea territorial e obedecendo aos conceitos enunciados, contribuiu de forma decisiva para o seu desenvolvimento. A \u00e1rea do projeto abrangiu cerca de 370 ha, localiza-se em zona muito plana centrada na Ria de Aveiro. A Rede Projectada de Vias Cicl\u00e1veis, com cerca 175 Km de extens\u00e3o, assentou em dois eixos principais, a Linha Praias e a Linha Nascente, sendo servida por eixos de acesso transversais e
